Why it is called the Starbucks

The nickname is not the watchmaker’s: the market gave it and it stuck. Today it is how everyone searches for it and asks for it, in the boutique too, which is why we use it alongside the factory reference. The reference is what identifies the piece beyond doubt: ask for the 126610LV and there is no confusing it with similar variants of the same model.

The story of the Submariner

The Submariner is the house diving watch and one of the most copied designs in watchmaking. Its bezel turns one way only, and that is deliberate: if it is knocked underwater it can only shorten the dive time it shows, never lengthen it. That safety logic, together with the sealed Oyster case, made it an instrument before it was an object of desire.
